Online Directory System Project in Malanda
Project Overview
As part of a major extension project, we worked closely with Tamara & Howard Oellermann of Design It Print & Publish to develop a modern and bespoke online business listings website to accompany the printed The Cassowary Coast Informer Telephone & Business directory.
The application was developed fully in-house by us and we placed special emphasis on enabling local business advertisers in the printed edition to receive enhanced online exposure by having a dedicated microsite page for each business along with extensive summary listings, coded geo data and on page map marking. We designed the application with the sole purpose of making it easy for local customers to find local businesses.
We also performed Local SEO using internal Rich Data and other methods to target both site visitors in the region and nationwide.

In 2021, in preparation for the 25th edition, the Cassowary Informer became the Cassowary Coast Informer, expanding to service the entire Cassowary Coast as the regions premier printed and online telephone and business directory.
Since its first beginnings, the Cassowary Coast Informer continues to be an independent, family owned and operated publication that is proudly locally produced, printed and hosted online in Queensland.
